About the Transition of Idea of the Perspective and Philosophy of the Gaze Tadami Yamada 「遠近法の思想と視線の哲学の変遷について」　山田維史      Last year, in October 2016, the Siebold Museum in the Netherlands announced that six paintings of Japanese landscapes brought back by Siebold, which had been labeled "gifts from Hokusai" in Siebold's handwritten inscriptions, had been reexamined and confirmed to be genuine Katsushika Hokusai works.      One of the six is ​​a lithograph, and all were created after studying Western painting.      What makes this painting significant is that it is not a copy of a Western painting, but an original depiction of an Edo landscape, likely a realistic sketch.
