山田維史英語俳句:Tadami Yamada's English Haiku Poems (6)

  Spring thunder

     shakes the grass hermitage

     and passed by

     Spring thunder

Red of a few pieces, Camellia petals

     fluttered in the air

     Spring rain,

     its sound also strong.

     The Rashomon gate

     Spring rain in the morning,

     After a secret intimate thing

     in demon's bedchamber of Rashomon

     Spring thunder. The demon's arm

     that the war lord Tsuna

     hold under his arm

The hem of a geisha kimono

That flutters like a spring breeze

     The anniversary of Oishi's death

     Water-warming

     Tone embankment

     and blowing north

     Trace

The handwriting of an old letter

     With a field horsetail

If I pick a field horsetail

     And throw away my paintbrush,

     I'll return to that day

     The anniversary

of the death of Rennyo, After 446 years

     The anniversary

     of the death of Rennyo,

     White petals are fluttering down

     Saint Rennyo's memorial,

     His text "Gobunsyo"

     On my deceased mother's knee

    Fallen camellia

I may be able to sweep

    Every morning

    Today two

    Tomorrow will be some

    Fallen camellia

    If you don't come,

    If I listen carefully,

    It's a fallen camellia

    A fallen camellia

    Oh pianissimo

    Information

    Fallen camellia

    Flowing

    In the child's hair

    A distant Buddhist temple

The bell's sound can be heard faintly

    Camellia scatters

    At the gate without gate*

    The Zen temple

    A fallen camellia

*NoteThere is no gate in Zen temple. It is

called the Mumon no mon ( the gate without gate).

    An old monk's shadow

    On a paper sliding door

    Camellia falls off continually
